Personalized 1:1 Sessions on the Full Apparatus

Heni Paz and Alli Rae Williams perform Pilates exercises on wooden Pilates chairs in a bright studio surrounded by plants and a downtown Miami view, enhancing strength, flexibility, and mindful movement.

Private Pilates sessions at Pandora Pilates in Coral Gables are built entirely around you — your movement history, your goals, your injuries, and where you are right now. Unlike a group class, nothing in a private session is pre-programmed or generic. Your instructor — some of whom are doctors of physical therapy, all of whom are trained and mentored by them — designs every session in real time around what your body needs that day, drawing on the full classical apparatus: Reformer, Cadillac, Pilates Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Arc Barrel, and mat — with the precision of a movement specialist and the depth of a lineage-trained Pilates teacher.

Who Private Pilates Is Best For

Private sessions at Pandora are right for a wide range of clients and goals:

  • Beginners who want a strong, personalized Pilates foundation before joining group classes

  • Athletes seeking targeted cross-training, performance enhancement, or sports-specific injury prevention

  • Clients managing an injury, chronic pain, or recovering from surgery, who need more individualized care than a group class provides

  • Prenatal and postnatal clients who need safe, customized programming at every stage

  • Advanced practitioners and Pilates teachers deepening their technique or exploring the full apparatus

  • Anyone who simply prefers dedicated 1:1 attention, flexible scheduling, or a more private setting

Full-Apparatus Private Pilates

One of the things that sets Pandora private sessions apart is access to the full classical Pilates apparatus — Reformer, Tower (Cadillac), Pilates Chair (Wunda Chair), Arc Barrel, Ladder Barrel, and mat — in a single session tailored to your needs. Your instructor selects the apparatus and exercises that best serve your goals on that day, creating a session that is truly customized rather than template-driven. This full-apparatus approach is especially valuable for clients in rehabilitation, athletes with specific performance goals, and Pilates teachers or physical therapists seeking a deeper understanding of the classical method.

Duet and Trio Pilates Sessions

Prefer to train with a friend, partner, or family member? Pandora Pilates offers duet and trio private sessions — a more social format that still provides personalized instruction and full-apparatus access at a lower per-person rate than an individual private session.

What to Expect in Your First Private Session

Your first private session at Pandora Pilates begins with a brief consultation. Your instructor will ask about your movement history, goals, any injuries or areas of concern, and what you hope to gain from your Pilates practice. From there, the session is tailored to where you are right now. Come in comfortable workout clothes and grip socks. Sessions are typically 55 minutes.

At-Home Pilates Private Sessions

For clients who prefer to work in their own space, Pandora Pilates brings expert private Pilates instruction directly to your home throughout Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, Brickell, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne, and surrounding areas. At-home sessions are led by the same instructors, some of whom are doctors of physical therapy, all of whom are trained and mentored by them, who teach in our Coral Gables studio, delivering the same standard of clinical expertise and personalized programming in your home that you would receive on the full apparatus at Pandora.

At-home sessions are mat-based and incorporate portable props and small equipment. If you have a Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Pilates Chair, or other apparatus at home, your instructor will program the session around your available equipment. If you have nothing beyond a mat, the session is designed to be fully effective within that constraint. Classical Pilates mat work is a complete system in its own right, and a skilled instructor can deliver a rigorous, progressive, and therapeutic session without any apparatus.

At-home private Pilates is ideal for clients whose schedules make studio visits difficult, those who prefer the privacy of their own space, clients managing conditions that make travel challenging, and those who simply want the convenience of expert instruction delivered to their door. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I start with a private session or a group class?

If you are new to Pilates, we recommend starting with a private session to familiarize yourself with the equipment and foundational movement principles before joining a group class. It sets you up for a safer, more effective, and more enjoyable group experience from day one. If you have any injuries, chronic pain, or specific goals that need individual attention, a private session or Pilates Rehab evaluation is also the right starting point. If you have prior Pilates experience and no injuries, you are welcome to jump straight into a group class.

Q: Do you offer at-home Pilates sessions in Miami?

Yes. We offer at-home and off-site private Pilates sessions throughout Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, Brickell, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne, and surrounding areas. Contact us to discuss availability.

Q: Can I do private sessions if I have an injury?

Yes, private sessions are one of the safest formats for those managing an injury. Our instructors are trained in both Pilates and physical therapy principles and can appropriately modify every exercise. For more significant injuries or post-surgical recovery, we may recommend starting with a Pilates Rehab evaluation.
